This tour is ideal for all photography lovers – from complete beginners to advanced amateurs and professionals. Your guide will adjust the pace, locations, and tips to match your experience level and interests.

No. While a DSLR or mirrorless camera is recommended, you are very welcome to join with a compact camera or even a smartphone. The focus of the tour is on seeing great light, composition, and capturing authentic Yangon moments.

We suggest:

• Camera body (any brand)

• Standard zoom lens (around 24–105mm)

• Telephoto lens (70–200mm) for portraits and distant subjects

• Wide-angle lens for architecture and pagodas

• Tripod for pre-dawn and low-light shots (optional but useful)

• Extra batteries and memory cards

 The Yangon Photo Tour is usually arranged as a private tour, so you can enjoy flexible timing, personalized guidance, and locations that match your interests. Small private groups (friends, couples, families) can also be arranged on request.

 The day starts with an early pick-up around 05:20 AM from your hotel in Yangon, in time for pre-dawn at Shwedagon Pagoda. The program usually finishes around sunset, when you return to your hotel after the riverfront photography session. Exact timings can be adjusted slightly depending on the season and your preferences.

Meals are not normally included in the basic package. You can:

• Bring a breakfast box from your hotel for after the Shwedagon visit, or

• Enjoy a local breakfast at a traditional tea house (you pay any food and drinks directly).
  Lunch is taken at a local restaurant during the day and is at your own expense.

The tour involves light to moderate walking around pagoda platforms, markets, city streets, and the monastery. Most participants with normal fitness can join comfortably. There are plenty of short breaks, and transportation is provided between the main locations.

It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.

We recommend:

• Light, comfortable clothing suitable for warm weather

• Modest dress for religious sites (shoulders and knees covered)

• Easy-to-remove footwear (you must remove shoes at pagodas and monasteries)

• A hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses for daytime

• A light jacket or shawl in cooler months or early morning

Yangon can be very atmospheric in light rain, with reflections, moody skies, and interesting street scenes. Unless the weather is unsafe, the tour still operates and we adapt the locations (more covered areas like markets, tea shops, and monasteries). We recommend bringing a small umbrella or rain cover for you and your camera.

In most cases, transport and guiding are included, but entrance fees and any camera fees at pagodas or monasteries may be extra, depending on your chosen package. We will clearly inform you in advance what is included in your final quotation.

Yes. Non-photographer partners, friends, or family members are welcome. They often enjoy the cultural insights, local food, and unique locations just as much as photographers.

Yes. Your guide is photo-friendly and can help with:

• Camera settings (ISO, aperture, shutter speed)
• Composition and framing
• Working with light and shadows
• Approaching people respectfully for portraits
  You can ask as many questions as you like throughout the day.

Absolutely. The sample itinerary includes Shwedagon Pagoda, a tea house, city center markets, a Buddhist monastery, the wholesale market, harbor, and sunset by the river. If you have special interests (architecture, portraits, street life, temples, or specific areas of Yangon), we can adjust the program accordingly.
